Pennsylvania

Well this week i've been in PA. Really, we've been sitting around and doing random stuff.. and gathering some stuff getting ready for Brooks' wedding. Weird to even think he is getting married. Time is going by fast eh?! Anyway, we finally found wifi.. there is no cable or internet at the lakehouse we're staying at.. so we found a panera! Thank goodness for panera's!!! I guess it's sometimes nice to not have cable or internet, but it does give me something to do for a least an hour or so.

Two more days and brooks is a married man! then we'll be back in ohio.

True Love.

Life is short. I guess you really don't know how short it is until someone close to you is all of a sudden gone. You knew that their death was soon arising, but not this fast.

Let's just say today I witnessed absolute true love today. This is besides what Jesus has done for each and every one of us. So, lets say this is the second greatest example that I have seen in my own life. My Great Grandma passed away today. For the longest time my Great Grandpa has taken care of her so much that he began to lose his own strength taking care of her. He literally gave everything for her, most of all his strength to take care of her, and he still wishes he could have given more. One thing that struck me most when he was talking about her and everything, he said, "I loved her." Those three words you knew for a fact he wasn't just saying. He truely did love her, and you could always tell that they both loved each other very much. No matter what they were going through. While he was telling stories and such, I thought to myself, he absolutely meant in his wedding vows, "for better or for worse, til death do us part."

My Great Grandparents have set such a huge example on the Page family and others that are around them. They are such wonderful people. I'll really miss my Great Grandma, Christine Edith Page, she was so inspiring. I loved too that at Thanksgiving dinner's no matter how many plates of food you had eaten, she still told you to eat more.

Man, I miss her already.

Copy and Paste

As thinking of what to write in my first blog I was tempted to just copy and paste a note that I had already written on my facebook page. I just kept thinking and thinking, "What should I write? It's my first blog, it's gotta be good. Why don't I just copy and paste a note from facebook?"

Then! AH HA! A thought had occurred to me. If I just copy and pasted a note that would be too easy. Why take the easy route? I think of some that live their lives that way... they take the easy way of life and not do it the hard way..

My Dad told me something that I thought was interesting... he said that when he was a kid his dad, my grandpa, would make my dad do things the hard way. If he did something one way than he would have to do it again another way. Sometimes he would even have to do it several times. Why? To show him that there are other ways to do things, and taking the easiest route isn't always the best route. Interesting huh?

So, try not to take the easy way in life or a.k.a the copy and paste way. No, it's not always bad to take the easy way, but, give yourself a challenge every once in awhile and try to do it the hard way for a change.
